Well we made it out of town. On the day we expected to as well. Sure, we had to replace an alternator and water pump before we left but we did it. These first few days have felt a little surreal. It was tough to say goodbye to everyone and the last few days before we left have all started blending together because they went so quickly. Death Valley is hot. We’re hitting the road in 34 more days. There is still a lot to be done and just barely enough time to do it! The electrical system had a failure this last weekend. The inverter decided that even though it had tested okay when I first got the unit, it was now time to stop working. Without explanation it has given up the ghost and needs to be returned/replaced before we go. Alas, … earwax.
