Goodness, we look suspicious!

Goodness, we look suspicious!

Oh hello again all of our adoring fans, of which there are about 9 (and we’re glad to have each and every one!) It’s Brian again for this week’s update. I’ll be covering South Dakota through to the tail-end of our time in North Dakota, our trip up to Canada, and the trip back down into North Dakota. With a little surprise visit to Minnesota as well! Let’s dive in shall we? As Kate mentioned at the end of her…

Another one bites the dust

Another one bites the dust

Hello everyone! You’ve got Brian again for this update. As an overview I’ll be covering our visits to Grand Teton and our stop in Salt Lake City, up to today – where we woke up in the Little America parking lot. Grand Teton may be smaller than Yellowstone but it is just as lovely and packed with wildlife. We woke up at the Granite Creek campsite and packed up the car before heading into the park. Our first destination was…

A week of LUXURY

A week of LUXURY

Hello all, Brian here for this week’s update. As Kate mentioned in the previous post (Here) I’ll be covering from 7/15 to 7/21 and then after that we’ll try to get back into slightly more frequent and shorter updates rather than these mega-posts that take longer to digest. But when we opted to move camping spots for the second night, we realized the full extent of what Independence Day in Yosemite National Park meant… There were just SO👏many👏people👏. There was nowhere to park, let alone camp, so we spent the last night in an adorable little campground just outside the park entrance called Summerdale. There was a stream running behind the campground…

So it begins!

So it begins!

Well we made it out of town. On the day we expected to as well. Sure, we had to replace an alternator and water pump before we left but we did it. These first few days have felt a little surreal. It was tough to say goodbye to everyone and the last few days before we left have all started blending together because they went so quickly. Death Valley is hot. We took a handful of pictures before hopping back…

34 more days until 26 Sundays

34 more days until 26 Sundays

We’re hitting the road in 34 more days. There is still a lot to be done and just barely enough time to do it! The electrical system had a failure this last weekend. The inverter decided that even though it had tested okay when I first got the unit, it was now time to stop working. Without explanation it has given up the ghost and needs to be returned/replaced before we go. Alas, … earwax.
